Growing Together from the Ground Up.
We are not providing solutions, we are providing space and tools and opportunity for growing solutions. That takes time, and planning, and intention, and agency, and connection over shared outcomes across socioeconomic lines that divide us. We will do it one seed, one harvest, one cup at a time.
We're a plucky group of teachers and communities across socioeconomic and cultural borders growing change by example.
At Communitea House, every cup you drink helps grow helps grow and connect stronger communities built on interpersonal connections. Together, we invest in and co-create local solutions to local problems shared globally: building spaces where people can connect, supporting teachers and families, strengthening local economies, and keeping the craft and care of tea alive at its source.
What you see below is just a glimpse of how your purchases help fund the work of connection here in the USA and around the world.

will allocate or donate revenue towards the following projects in the year to come.
in revenue allocated to Communitea Mobile and Brick and Mortar Hubs
in revenue allocated to teacher residency and community education programs
in revenue devoted to cross-community exchange programs
in revenue devoted to investment to insure economic sustainability of programs and freedom from dependency cycles

Mobile Communitea House → Neighborhood Ecosystems Fund
Jump‑start the tea‑bus proof of concept that blossoms into permanent Communitea Houses—multi‑service hubs rooted at the borders of served and underserved neighborhoods.
The Mobile Communitea House is our living prototype: a classroom, teahouse, and pop‑up resource center on wheels. Your gift finishes the solar‑powered build, funds a support vehicle, and outfits dual service stations (gongfu + boba) for on‑site training and revenue. Once routes prove demand, the same fund rolls into acquiring brick‑and‑mortar Communitea Houses—anchoring marketplaces, greenhouses, and coworking space that keep resources circulating “one cup at a time” and “grown together.”

Village Teacher Residency & Community‑as‑Curriculum Endowment
Pay forward teachers who learn by serving. Scholarships and mentor stipends turn our mobile hub and partner schools into residency sites where the neighborhood writes the syllabus.
We seed new educators through an Alternative Route to Certification that treats the community itself as the classroom. Funds cover tuition, living stipends, mentor honoraria, and teaching materials. Residents split time between local schools and the Mobile Communitea House, mastering cross‑cultural, CTE, and world‑language instruction while delivering real services—“education by the Village, for the Village.” Graduates step into stable jobs, and the endowment keeps the pipeline flowing year after year.

Storied Journeys Community Exchange Fund
Fuel two‑way cultural exchanges—Seattle, Detroit, Taipei, Kathmandu, rural Washington, and beyond—linking partners at home and abroad through homestays, joint projects, and shared stories.
True connection rarely fits inside a Zoom window. Its not enough to just travel to a place. The last great frontier is the space between two people. This fund underwrites travel, homestays, curriculum, and facilitation for students, artisans, educators, and elders who cross‑pollinate skills and perspectives. Programs run both directions: U.S. communities visit partner farms and schools in Taiwan, Japan, and Nepal, while those partners embed with us stateside. We also scout new domestic sites each cycle so the web keeps widening—proving that “the last great frontier is the space between two people.”

Community Investment Loop & Cooperative Stake Fund
Plant capital that stays rooted: micro‑grants, incubator space, profit‑share for staff, and co‑op stakes for neighbors—closing the loop between revenue and shared wealth.
Every dollar should work twice: once to power a business, once to nourish its community. Your contribution seeds our incubator, shared tools, and micro‑loans for startup vendors inside Communitea marketplaces. In return, for‑profit partners pledge 10 % of gross sales to the nonprofit, staff earn profit‑share, and neighborhood members can buy co‑op shares that unlock price relief, service credits, and annual dividends. The loop keeps us additive—not extractive—so growth strengthens, rather than cannibalizes, the ecosystem.

A Story of Growing Together
Over the years people have known me as a friend, teacher, or partner in community with a simple goal in life - helping grow and connect people and communities. Communitea was born of experiences trying to grow through tough situations as a child and was an idea that was continually nurtured by friends, mentors, and community made over the years that cared for and supported each other. In classrooms, kitchens, fields, community projects, world travels, in good times and through challenges.
Myself and my partners in community have been collecting, planting and tending seeds for the future: skills, experiences, students, partners, perspectives, connections, and resources - all with the purpose of creating a platform and space for helping communities grow and sustain themselves through shared education and people working together across linguistic, cultural, and socio-economic divides towards shared outcomes.
Those seeds have since grown into strong cultivars. With partners in the US, Taiwan, China, Japan, and Nepal. We’ve built and sustained programs that mentor and certify teachers, connect students across borders, and create spaces where neighbors work together to create local solutions to local problems. Each has been tested, adapted, and proven in its part and in community plots here and across the globe.
Now it’s time to transplant those cultivars into their first shared greenhouse, a Communitea Hub, where they can take root together.
We’re not here to build a brand and sell it off. We’re here to grow a living ecosystem of communities sharing the product and process of growing community in context, shared globally.
Real change doesn’t trickle down from above. It grows from the ground up, by the hands of people working side by side with integrity, humility, hope, and the ability to plan and put plan into action.
We’ve accomplished a lot with very little. With even a small seed of support from you and your circles, we can cultivate and iterate this model until it grows in perpetuity - one Person, One community, and One cup, at a time.
Looking forward to sharing a cup and growing community together with you soon!
All my love and gratitude,
— Jeremy Smith, Teacher and Founder of Communitea
