Tea Origin
The Nepal Tea Collective tea estate thrives in the eastern region of Nepal, nestled in the foothills of Mt. Kanchanjangha, which is the third-highest mountain in the world. Located precisely near the western borders of Darjeeling, India and north of the Illam, the most famous tea growing region in Nepal, our small village enjoys the best of both worlds. Situated at an altitude of 1300-1800 meters (4,200 - 6000 feet), the area enjoys pristine Himalayan climatic conditions to produce highly unique and aromatic teas.
Iced/Cold Brew Method
Teaware: Glass and silicon infuser bottle
Leaf Amount:7g per 500 ml (17 oz) Time:6–10 hours refrigerated
Leaf, Liquor, & Tasting Notes
Leaf: Dry leaves are light brown, with a distinct honey and brown sugar aroma. If you allow the leaves to steam in a heated teapot or gaiwan, you will notice the leaves emit a lovely osmanthus and logan flower aroma.
First Round: a delightful mix of honey and longan fruit. There is also a subtle aromatic hint of osmanthus flowers in full bloom.
Second Round: sweet and floral, with added notes of baker’s spice and sandalwood. The honey sweetness grows in intensity during the finish.
Third Round: a slight shift away from the honey note, towards a more longan-forward flavor.
